Nine students were inducted into The Lowell School Chapter of the National Honor Society during a special ceremony on October 21, 2014. According to the National Honor Society, their mission is to “recognize and encourage academic achievement while also developing the personal characteristics essential for productive, well-rounded members of society”. To obtain membership, the student must demonstrate the qualities of scholarship (minimum Grade Point Average of 85), service, leadership, and character.

As members of The Lowell School Chapter, students participate in various service projects in their community and throughout the United States. Some of these endeavors include making stockings filled with items for soldiers overseas, raising money for “Heavenly Hats”, an organization that provides hats for people who are undergoing treatment for cancer, and “Jeans for Teens”, an initiative for homeless teenagers.
