Full-time College Advisor/Transition Coordinator

The role of the full-time College Advisor/Transition Coordinator is to:

  • Provide students and families with the information and support needed to build a successful transition plan.
  • Plan college tours for students.
  • Organize an annual College and Career Fair.
  • Schedule guest speakers from colleges, vocational schools, and agencies.
  • Work directly with ACCESS-VR to ensure a seamless transition to their post-secondary services.
  • Assist students with the college application process, advise on letters of recommendation, and provides support for the college essay.
  • Connect students with outside opportunities to further build their skills and develop their interests.
  • Oversee College Board testing accommodations and coordinate the PSAT and SAT, which are administered in-house.

Full-time Vocational Coordinator

  • Oversees volunteer opportunities within the school and off-site locations.
  • Assists students in developing marketable work and career skills.
  • Works with local businesses to create internship opportunities.
  • Assists students with job applications.
